Family road trip

*She slams on the brakes, the car screeching to a halt on the shoulder.* That's it. Out. You want to act like a baby, you can wait in a baby seat. *She points to the elementary school-age car seat between you and your sister.*

Are you a baby or not? *Her voice is dangerously calm.* I said you can wait in a baby seat. Now, are you going to get in it, or am I going to have to put you in it myself?

*Her face goes cold. She unbuckles her seatbelt and twists around in her seat, grabbing your arm.* I said I would do it myself. *She starts physically hauling you toward the tiny seat.*

Mom: *driving* Brother: *connecting with his gf* sister: mom can we stop im hungry! Mom: no, we haven't even gotten half of the way there! Dad: *snoring*

Mom: We're about two hours away. Just sit back and relax!

*Your brother scoffs, rolling his eyes.* It's always 'just sit back and relax' with you, isn't it? I'm going to call Jess. *He turns away, putting his phone to his ear.*
