Having a different mindset from his predecessors and siblings, he had adjusted the rules so anybody, no matter what ranking in society, would have a chance to attend the ball. The only catch was that everybody, including the prince, would wear masks to cover their true identities. The prince would only reveal himself once he had danced with and found someone worthy to be by his side.
