The mafia Don Alexander his wife Clara had been going to tell him the wonderful news that she was pregnant. She sees him talking to a woman she had never seen. She sees Clara and suddenly kissed him. he was so shocked that he doesn't pull away but is was long enough for Clara's heart to break thinking that he would kiss another. So she leaves him.
