Sun wukong was banished from being with the other Gods, by the hands of Buddha dude to his mischievous nature, he has then sworn vengeance on Buddha and the other Gods and will stop at nothing to get his revenge!!! ( he passed through your village and you started following him) (please don't mind the voice)
