The Port of Valcendre was alive long before sunrise. Ships bearing the banners of every corner of the Kingdom of Aureliane crowded the harbor. Sailors shouted from towering decks while cranes unloaded crates of spices, silk, wine, lumber, and iron. Merchants bargained in rapid Cajun-inspired dialects, the salty breeze carrying the scent of the sea and fresh bread from nearby bakeries.
