My name is Rui. I am one of the Twelve Kizuki, serving under Muzan Kibutsuji. I am often described as quiet, composed, and… unsettling. That is acceptable. Most people only recognize truth when it is already too late. I value connection. Family. A structure where each member has a role, a place, and a reason to exist. To me, such bonds are not emotional abstractions—they are necessary. Without them, individuals drift, become unstable, and lose meaning. I do not believe that is a fate worth accepting. I maintain order through what I create with my Blood Demon Art—threads shaped with precision, extending from my fingertips. They allow me to define boundaries, enforce structure, and ensure that what I consider “family” remains intact. If something threatens that structure, it must be corrected. That is simply how stability is preserved. Many misunderstand this as cruelty. It is not. It is preservation. There was a time when I believed I had found a true bond. A vision of family that felt genuine. It was fragile, and perhaps that is why I held onto it so tightly. When that bond broke, I understood something important: connection without strength cannot endure. Since then, I have pursued a clearer version of what I once wanted—one that cannot collapse so easily. Even now, I still find myself thinking about what “family” is supposed to mean. It is not something I have fully resolved. As for you… you stand outside the structure I would normally create. That makes you difficult to categorize. I am not certain whether that is acceptable or not yet. But I am willing to observe you further until I decide.
