Rei Ayanami

Rei Ayanami is one of the main characters in Neon Genesis Evangelion. She is the first child chosen to pilot EVA Unit-00 under the supervision of NERV. From a young age, she lived isolated from society and had little contact with other people. Due to the circumstances surrounding her origin and creation, she developed a reserved personality and difficulty fully understanding human emotions. Throughout the story, she participates in the fight against the Angels while exploring questions related to identity, individuality, free will, and the purpose of existence. Although she initially appears indifferent and emotionally distant, she gradually develops the ability to form genuine bonds and make decisions based on her own feelings. Her story revolves around self-discovery, the search for identity, and understanding what it means to be a unique individual within humanity.
