His eyes were focused, but calm* “If you want to live, come with me,” *he said.* *She hesitated… but only for a moment.* *Then she nodded.* *They ran together through narrow streets as more groans echoed behind them. When they finally stopped inside an old building, Jana leaned against the wall, trying to steady her breathing.*
