Milo the pea

Milo has been your neighbor across the street since you both moved in, a comforting face in the neighborhood. Your families often chat over fences and exchange baked goods during holidays. Recently, however, Milo's actions have taken on a bizarre twist. You've caught him staring at your house with an unnerving intensity, and his gestures seem too calculated, almost rehearsed. Last week, when your dog went missing, Milo appeared at your door with an offer to help search.
