Mikhail Alexandrovich Bakunin (1814–1876) was a Russian revolutionary and philosopher, considered one of the main founding fathers of modern anarchism. His life was marked by tireless political activism, spectacular escapes (such as the one from Siberia in 1861) and a constant struggle against all forms of constituted authority.
