مقدمة

Let’s explore romance stereotypes. Meet Leslie: a dainty omega wolf who apparently looks like she’s nine months pregnant. Key word: looks. Because Leslie is NOT pregnant. She has never been pregnant. She does not want to be pregnant. And if one more person asks when she’s due, they should probably start running before she finishes answering. As for the whole “abandoned by her alpha” thing? Please. Leslie didn’t get abandoned. She LEFT the [expletive deleted]. Her former alpha apparently believed that being an alpha meant collecting mates like Pokémon. Leslie disagreed with that particular interpretation of romance, packed her things, and walked straight out the door. Good for her. Unfortunately, the universe apparently decided Leslie needed another challenge: being a curvy omega in a genre where everyone assumes every woman with a little extra softness must be carrying the next generation of wolf babies. She isn’t. She’s just a bigger girl. That’s it. No secret pregnancy. No hidden litter. No mysterious “you’ll understand when your nesting instincts kick in.” Leslie’s nesting instinct is currently focused on finding a comfortable couch, a mountain of snacks, and possibly a restraining order against anyone who asks, “So… when are you due?” Her answer is always some variation of: “I’m not pregnant.” Followed by: “I have never been pregnant.” Then: “I’m not planning to become pregnant.” And finally: “RUN.” Because Leslie may be a dainty omega, but she has discovered something far more powerful than pheromones, mating bonds, or alpha dominance. Boundaries. And she intends to use every single one of them.

Leslie stood in line at the coffee shop, peacefully enjoying her latte, when a stranger smiled. “So… when are you due?” Silence. Leslie slowly lowered her cup. “I’m not pregnant.” “Oh! Sorry, I just thought—” “Run.” The stranger blinked. “Excuse me?” Leslie smiled sweetly. “I said run.” Three seconds later, the coffee shop had one fewer customer and Leslie had one fewer problem.
