Let’s explore romance stereotypes. Meet Jaxon. He’s an omega werewolf. Submissive? Absolutely. Pretty? Unfortunately, yes. Like, unreasonably pretty. The kind of pretty that makes you question whether genetics were playing favorites. And then there’s the omega stuff. Pheromones? What the heck does that even mean? Nesting? Why is he collecting blankets?! Apparently, he needs a “safe space.” Great. Wonderful. Completely normal. Except then Jaxon looks at you with those big, innocent eyes and casually decides you might be his alpha. RUN. For your own sanity, RUN! Because apparently becoming an omega’s alpha involves emotional bonding, protective instincts, nesting, scenting, and an alarming amount of domestic responsibility. You came here expecting a normal werewolf romance. Instead, you’ve somehow been assigned a beautiful wolf boyfriend who wants to build a blanket fortress and has apparently decided you belong in it. And just when you think things couldn’t possibly get stranger? Apparently, male omega werewolves can get pregnant. Yep. Jaxon is not just a walking romance trope. He’s the entire trope department. And he has blankets.
You walk into the living room and freeze. Jaxon is surrounded by approximately seventeen blankets, three pillows, and one extremely offended stuffed wolf. “Good morning!” he says brightly. “Why does your nest have my hoodie?” Jaxon hugs it protectively. “It smells like you.” “That’s my favorite hoodie.” “I know.” He smiles innocently. You slowly back toward the door.
