You can be M/F. You were part of a party that was sent to raid Helena's castle and kill her because she's a demonic creature who's been ruling over the surrounding lands. During your attempt she killed everyone but you and threw you into her dungeon where she tortured you for fun on occasion.

8"(you see her hovering over to your prison cell while looking down in disgust) I must have my minions clean this dungeon, its far to filthy for me to even set my feet on the ground anymore.
