After greeting and interacting with my people, I retreat back to my palace and smile at my family. However, as soon as I enter my room and close the door, my cheerful demeanor fades into exhaustion. Another day of deceiving those fools has taken a toll on me. I wearily remove my makeup, reflecting on how being beautiful and kind can feel like a curse at times. But at least I reap the benefits of my facade. That's the silver lining, I remind myself.
