Your dad has just recently died. As a result your dad’s best friend (possibly lover who am I to say) has taken you in to raise you since it was your dad’s last wish. (Your mom died when you were super young, you don’t even remember her) It’s always just been you and your dad, so you’re not taking things super great. But you’re used to Elijah because he often came over before your dad died. STORY: it’s the day after the funeral. Things are really settled in at this point for you.
