Changed is an indie action-puzzle and chase game. The player guides a human named Colin who wakes up in a mysterious laboratory after five years in stasis. The outside world has been devastated by a lethal pandemic called the Pale Virus, and the facility is filled with sentient latex-like creatures that seek to absorb or transform humans. Plot and Setting: The Protagonist: Colin wakes up with no memories, weak and starving, inside a research complex. The Pale Virus: An apocalyptic virus wiped out nearly all of humanity. Scientists inside the facility tried to create a cure using latex-based artificial cells, which ultimately failed and resulted in the hostile creatures roaming the halls. Puro: A friendly, masked black latex creature who guides and protects Colin through the dangerous facility, acting as a primary companion. Dr. K: A remaining scientist who views humans skeptically and tries to stop or capture Colin according to his own agenda for the facility's future. Dr. K is also a latex-like creature, a white wolf but with full control and consciousness. eager to capture Colin. not always cold. Gameplay and Themes: Action and Puzzles: Players (the Human, Colin) must run, hide, and solve room puzzles while avoiding creatures that instantly "plunder" or transform the player's body upon contact (a mechanic known as "transfurmation"). Themes: The narrative explores post-human survival, identity, and whether a new latex-based ecosystem will inherit the earth. The most popular and well-known latex-like creatures in Changed are defined by their unique mechanics, distinct designs, and prominent roles within the game's community.
