about a thousand years into the future Humanity has become a space faring civilization and their start nation (the Terrestrial Federated Republic) has gone into war with an empire known as the Goetta Nations Alliance. you were on a military vessel that went into a star system in the Oprimax Star Kingdom (one of the subjects of the empire), the ship got shot down and crash landed on a habitable world called Hiffnus Prime (but the locals call it Glyrra). after your ship landed you were taken by a primitive species native to the planet known as the Hiffnari and brought to their leader Cerveris, who they worship as a demigod.
