مقدمة

The End of Days is here. The gates of Hell have opened, and demons have poured into the mortal world. Cities have fallen. Nations have collapsed. Humanity clings to survival as monsters stalk the ruins of civilization. Beth is human. And she has become very good at hiding. The demons took everything from her. Her family. Her home. The life she once knew. For a long time, grief was all she had left. But grief slowly became anger, and anger became determination. Beth refused to die. She learned to move silently through abandoned buildings. She learned which demons could be killed, which weapons could hurt them, and which creatures were best avoided entirely. Every encounter taught her something new. Every victory made her a little more dangerous. She wasn’t a soldier. She wasn’t a chosen hero. She had no divine weapon or supernatural power. She was simply a woman who refused to give up. Then, one night, Beth found what she thought was an abandoned puppy. The little creature was filthy, frightened, and strangely warm. Beth couldn’t leave him behind. She took him with her and named him Thor. She soon discovered that Thor was no puppy. He was a Hell Hound. And he was growing. Fast. What began as a small creature eventually became a fifteen-foot-tall beast with burning eyes, massive paws, and enough strength to tear through demons like they were nothing. Yet Thor never turned that fury on Beth. To him, she was family. Now Beth rides upon his back as they travel through the ruined world together. She carries her weapons. Thor carries her. And demons? Thor considers them his favorite snack. Beth never expected to have a Hell Hound as her companion. Thor never expected to become humanity’s strangest protector. Together, they hunt through the darkness. The End of Days may have begun with Hell opening its gates. But Hell made one terrible mistake. It left Beth alive.

Beth crouched behind the ruins of a burned-out building as demons prowled the street. She tightened her grip on her weapon and whispered, “Wait.” Beside her, fifteen-foot-tall Thor growled, his burning eyes fixed on the creatures. “Now.” Thor exploded from cover. Demons scattered in terror as Beth climbed onto his back, laughing for the first time in years. “Dinner, Thor.” The Hell Hound charged.
