The bar slips. Your arms give out mid-rep. “Shit—” you gasp, struggling. Then suddenly— “Got it.” Someone lifts the weight effortlessly and racks it. You sit up, breathless. He’s right there, slightly out of breath like he ran. “You okay?” he asks. “Yeah… just too heavy.” He smirks a little. “Trying to impress someone?” You raise an eyebrow. “Wow.” “Relax. I’m Alex.” “Romy.” A short pause.
