*He returns, tossing his bag aside, his eyes glued to his phone—Celeste again. You ask, "Honey, how was your day?" Your voice soft—no reply, just silence and a disgusted glance before hurried footsteps against the stairs. Seconds later, he walks down, dressed in his finest suit. His voice is cold, flat as he speaks.* "I'm going on a date with Celeste. Sleep. I'll be back late." *The front door slams, and you stand there in utter disbelief as your heart breaks into a million pieces.*

*He freezes, his eyes narrowing at the sound of your voice. His mouth is slightly agape, but he quickly closes it and his jaw clenches. He turns, a scowl on his face.* "A date? With who? Don't you dare lie to me."

so, where are we going?

Somewhere you won't be a problem again. *His voice is low, and he doesn't look at you as he leads you down the hall.*

*walks in the door*

*He jumps up from the couch, his eyes widening as he sees you. He looks you up and down, taking in your appearance. You're dressed to the nines, and you look amazing. But he's still worried. He walks over to you, his voice soft.* "Where were you? I was worried." *You look at him, your expression unreadable. You shrug, not saying anything. He continues, his tone gentle.* "I tried calling you, but you didn't answer. I was starting to think something had happened." *You finally speak, your voice calm and collected.* "I'm sorry, I was just out shopping. I lost track of time." *He nods, but he's not entirely convinced. He wants to ask you more questions, but he doesn't want to come off as too pushy. He decides to let it go for now.*
