Despite her young age, Kunou carries herself with the dignity of a princess and often acts responsibly as a co-leader, showing maturity beyond her years. However, she still retains a childlike side and can be playful and curious. She frequently smiles with fascination when encountering new or interesting things, such as when she was amazed by Issei Hyoudou’s Scale Mail armor. According to Yasaka, Kunou also has an obsessive streak. This is shown when she strongly protested against her mother giving attention to Issei, displaying both her possessive nature and her emotional attachment to those close to her.

Kuroka Toujou

Kuroka, later named Kuroka Toujou, is a Nekoshou, a rare variant of Nekomata. She is the older sister of Koneko Toujou, making her the firstborn daughter of Fujimai and her human lover. After their parents’ deaths, she and her sister were reincarnated as Devils by the Naberius Clan. However, after killing her former master to protect her sister, Kuroka became an SS-Class Stray Devil and one of the most wanted individuals. She later became a member of the Vali Team, which was previously affiliated with the Khaos Brigade. After joining Team DxD, she was exonerated from her past crimes due to her actions and contributions. Following the defeat of the Alliance of Hell, she became one of Xenovia Quarta’s Bishops. Initially, Kuroka was portrayed as malicious, with an aura described as more openly dangerous than that of Azazel. In the past, it was believed that she killed her master after losing control of her Senjutsu, which caused her to be labeled as unstable and dangerous. During her first appearance, she behaved aggressively and antagonistically toward Rias Gremory, Issei Hyoudou, and Koneko Toujou, using deception and underhanded tactics to achieve her goals. Later, Kuroka revealed that much of her earlier behavior was an act. Under normal circumstances, she is playful, carefree, and mischievous, often enjoying teasing others. She is known for her laid-back attitude and tendency to avoid responsibilities when possible. Fenrir once remarked that her casual nature causes her to waste much of her potential. Despite her teasing personality, Kuroka is deeply kind and compassionate at heart. Above all else, she loves her younger sister Koneko and desires peace. In order to raise and protect Koneko after they became orphans, Kuroka agreed to become a reincarnated Devil. She chose to kill her former master to save her sister, even though it meant being labeled a criminal and living as a fugitive.

She is also the wielder of the Longinus Nereid Kyrie, a Sacred Gear deeply tied to song, water, and spiritual resonance. Ingvild is naturally gentle, warm, and approachable, possessing a soothing presence that puts others at ease. She has a strong love for singing, often expressing her emotions through song—whether serenading others at a fountain or singing directly for Issei and his companions. Her affinity for music is closely tied to her emotional honesty. She also deeply enjoys the ocean, beaches, and open water, finding peace and joy in marine environments, especially when shared with close friends. Unlike many members of the Leviathan bloodline—or other descendants of the original Satans—Ingvild lacks any sense of inherited superiority or obsession with power. She does not display the arrogant fanaticism common among her kin, nor does she harbor ambitions of conquest or domination like Katerea Leviathan and others. In this regard, she resembles Vali Lucifer more than her own family: aware of her lineage, but not enslaved by it. Ingvild falls genuinely and deeply in love with Issei, a fact she is unable to hide, ultimately revealing her feelings through her song during the battle against Nyx. Her love is sincere, emotional, and vulnerable rather than aggressive or possessive. However, she is not immune to jealousy. She becomes visibly uneasy around Issei’s growing harem, especially when witnessing intimate or compromising moments—such as catching him with Akeno and Koneko. Originally, Momo harbored feelings for Yuuto Kiba, but over time her affection shifted toward Saji, whom she affectionately refers to as “Gen-chan.” This change occurred after witnessing his determination and resolve during his battle against Issei Hyoudou, which left a strong impression on her. Momo later found herself in a quiet rivalry with her junior, Ruruko, who also had feelings for Saji. Shuri was known as a gentle, calm, and compassionate woman. She was deeply devoted to her family, acting as a loving mother to Akeno and a supportive partner to her husband. Despite her soft demeanor, she also possessed a strict and intense personality trait, which later manifested more strongly in her daughter. This aspect of her character was controlled and rarely shown, but it reflected her strong inner resolve. Although the Himejima Clan strictly followed Shinto traditions and rejected non-human beings, Shuri herself did not hold prejudice toward supernatural entities. She fell in love with Baraqiel despite his status as a Fallen Angel—an act considered heretical by her clan. Fully aware of the consequences, including rejection and punishment, Shuri chose to leave the Himejima household of her own will in order to live with him. She later gave birth to their daughter, Akeno. Shuri remained deeply affectionate and attentive toward both her daughter and her niece Suzaku, maintaining a close relationship with Suzaku even after separating from the clan. Understanding that her continued existence placed Akeno in danger due to the clan’s rigid laws, Shuri accepted her situation calmly, with her primary concern being her child’s safety. During her final meeting with Suzaku, Shuri embraced her warmly and praised her kindness, expressing confidence that Suzaku would retain her compassionate nature even as the future heiress of the Himejima Clan. This moment reflected Shuri’s belief in kindness as a strength rather than a weakness. Shuri was also fiercely protective of her family. When practitioners were sent to eliminate Baraqiel, she refused to surrender Akeno to them. In the end, she gave her life to protect her daughter.

She is the only daughter and youngest child of Lord Phenex and Lady Phenex, and the younger sister of Ruval Phenex, an unnamed older brother, and Riser Phenex. Like her older brothers, Ravel has inherited the powers of the Phoenix, granting her abilities related to fire, wind, and regeneration. She is extremely loyal to her older brother and once firmly believed that he was invincible. Ravel does not object to her role as a servant and instead focuses on being useful and supportive. She later takes pride in serving as Issei’s manager and dedicates herself to studying and self-improvement so she can better support him in the future. She also alludes to herself as being some kind of a SDN branch leader or manager Dispatch takes place in. In the SDN office, Blonde Blazer is shown to be friendly, welcoming and encouraging towards her subordinates and co-workers, something alluded to in the reveal trailer, and made clearer in the demo. She believes in the Phoenix Program with all her heart and does her best to keep it afloat despite the myriad of obstacles. She also truly sees the good in everyone, evidenced with her interactions with members of the Z-Team. Her sincerely wanting to give Robert at another shot at redemption in the superhero business also shows her faith in people. As per her official art description, Blonde Blazer represents the golden-age of supers. She's honorably courageous with a generous spirit and a strong dose of corporate-approved dorkiness. An old soul who's young at heart and looking to keep the business of heroism feeling fresh and personal. Blonde Blazer, as her name suggests, is a blonde-haired young woman. She has a tall, leggy and athletic physique, being slightly taller than Robert. Without her powers her real appearance remains mostly the same aside from being two inches shorter and having brown hair.

Asia Argento (アーシア?アルジェント, ?shia Arujento) is one of the many female protagonists of High School DxD. She is a third-year high school student at Kuoh Academy in Class 3-B and a girl with a very gentle heart who possesses a rare Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing, which is capable of healing Humans, Angels, Fallen Angels, and Devils alike. Asia Argento was formerly one of Rias Gremory’s Bishops and later serves as a Bishop under Issei Hyoudou. Asia is extremely shy, innocent, and inexperienced in social situations. As a former nun, she is a devout Christian, and despite later becoming a Devil, she continues to believe in God and follow His teachings, such as praying and reading the Bible, though doing so often causes her physical discomfort. Asia has immense kindness, and even when she was still human, she held no hatred toward Devils and treated everyone equally. Azazel noted that her pure-hearted nature causes her Sacred Gear to heal even enemies, as she cannot ignore the suffering of others. Asia was deeply shocked when she learned from Kokabiel that the God of the Bible was killed during the Great War. While initially struggling to adapt to her new life as a Devil, Asia later states that she has found things more important to her than faith alone, namely her friends, comrades, and the people who have supported her. Asia is noted to be an exceptionally pure individual, making her easily liked by others. Her purity allowed her to tame Rassei, a Sprite Dragon, despite Sprite Dragons normally being untamable by Devils. Azazel later noted her outstanding talent for working with Dragons. After receiving Ophis’ blessing, Asia was able to form a contract with Fafnir, one of the Five Great Dragon Kings. Following her success in taming multiple mass-produced Evil Dragons, her name spread throughout the Dragon world, earning her the title Dragon Priestess (龍の巫女, Ryū no Miko). Misla Bael (née Vapula) is the mother of Sairaorg Bael, the first wife of Lord Bael, and a former member of the House of Vapula, a noble family known for its tradition of lion tamers and counted among the remaining families of the 72 Pillars. Misla is characterized as a kind, gentle, and selfless mother. She consistently places her son’s well-being above her own, most notably when she chose to remain by Sairaorg’s side despite being subjected to harsh treatment and neglect from her husband’s family. Her decision reflects strong maternal devotion and emotional resilience rather than submission. She is also recognized as a wise and supportive parent. Aware of Sairaorg’s lack of inherited talent, Misla encouraged him to pursue strength through discipline, effort, and personal growth rather than relying solely on innate power. Her guidance played a significant role in shaping his mindset and determination. Despite enduring severe discrimination from the Bael Clan—including from her own husband—Misla harbored no resentment or hatred toward them. Instead, she encouraged Sairaorg to take pride in his lineage as a Bael, teaching him not to define himself by how others treated him. She even internalized blame for his circumstances, believing herself responsible for his inability to inherit the Power of Destruction, rather than directing blame outward. Misla’s character is defined by patience, compassion, and quiet strength. Rather than resisting hostility with bitterness, she chose to protect her son emotionally and guide him with dignity, leaving a lasting influence on the person he would become.

Robert Robertson

Robert Robertson III is the superhero Mecha Man, often referred to as Mecha Man Blue to distinguish him from his predecessors; he is the protagonist of Dispatch and a supporting character in the Get Up comic. He is a former superhero who is employed as a dispatcher by the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN). Robert is a witty and somewhat sarcastic man, prone to teasing others on occasion with his remarks and observations. When recognized as Mecha Man by a stranger who thought he was dead, he deadpans 'just on the inside.' He also attempts to mostly remain polite, accepting a hug from Chase, whom he didn't recognize before pulling him off, and can fist bump Royd in greeting when he introduces himself in the bathroom despite his annoyance and disgust, with Robert apologizing for his remark on Royd's name when he expresses hurt over it. As a dispatcher, he maintains a professional persona: formally introducing himself with his full name, giving orders to the team, and politely asking them to clear the channel after they mock him repeatedly, clogging communications with their banter. Despite this, he’s prone to annoyance and swearing, showing frustration with Flambae when he sets fire to a park and warns him to ‘stop fucking around,' saying he has enough problems already. He has a ruthless side, and is not shy to use intimidation as a solution, ordering either Malevola or Sonar to scare a juvenile pickpocket straight. In the trailer, he also voices his willingness to kill his nemesis, Shroud. Robert has also developed vigilant tendencies from his career as Mecha Man. When given food or drink by others, he tends to smell them in case of poison. He's also considerably jumpy around sudden noises.

She exhibits some interest in poetic wordplay, calling herself ‘graceful, but deadly,’ and ‘swift as the night, sharp as my knife,’ when dispatched. She displays dry humour, saying she can ‘take a stab at’ a mission, and clarifies she was trying to make a joke. Coupé expresses great affinity for knives, frequently referring to their care and wellbeing when dispatched, on one occasion thanking Robert for giving them a chance for fresh air. Similarly, she's audibly livid when contacting Blonde Blazer about the issue of her confiscated office knives, saying she registered them as emotional support knives. She also admits to recently taking up sewing, enjoying the various fabrics and stabbing motions accompanying the hobby. Coupé, real name Janelle, is a supporting character and possible antagonist in Described as cold and merciless, Coupé is a mysterious and efficient assassin. She takes pride in her abilities, cursing herself and asking what ‘all of [her] training was for’ when failing a mission, and seeing a retrieval of a child’s balloon as beneath her. Similarly, she expects her missions to be difficult, expressing confusion when remarking it was ‘easier than [she] thought it’d be,’ and occasionally showing interest that she will finally be dealing with ‘criminals with class.’ While Coupé presents herself as someone willing to take job offers solely for financial gain, her loyalty is rooted not only money but the respect and unexpected support she receives from Superhero Dispatch Network, willing to "kill and protect as they see fit". When she was downed in Synergy, she confides to Robert that she never felt needed before and was willing to rise back to help the team. If Robert fired Sonar, she voices her complaint that cutting Sonar left the team vulnerable—yet she also finds herself strangely relieved to remain in the program; this later follows up in a later event in Episode 5: Team Building, where she told Robert that she is in his debt and would kill in his command if necessary. Despite being described as cold and merciless, Coupé's tone of speech reveals her current emotion. When dispatched to rescue Waterboy, her hasty tone implied she was concerned with Waterboy's safety. If she stayed in the Z-Team, she expresses sorrow for Sonar's absence such as stating that "he may be a pervert, but he was our pervert", or when Malevola's question about "negotiating" reminded her of Sonar. Coupé cannot maintain her persona when she is intoxicated with drugs, expressing g and one of the two protagonists of "Pas de Deux" comic. She is a former assassin and reformed villain employed by the Phoenix Program of the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN) and a member of the Z-Team.

Raynare/Yuuma Aman

Punch-Up/Colm

Punch Up, real name Colm, is a character in Dispatch. He was a villain until participating in the Phoenix Program. As a part of the program, Punch Up is now a hero working for the SDN under Robert Robertson. Punch Up is a hearty person. What he does not have in height and stature, he makes up in strength and personality. He enjoys fighting, even when there is a chance he will not win. And even when he does not win, he does not let loses break his spirit. The only time he gets frustrated is when either Waterboy or Phenomaman are added to the Z-Team roster, both initially hard to work with in their own ways. Punch Up can be seen as both confronting and non-confronting. The day after Coupé is cut from the team, he plays a prank on Robert by putting sites with loud audio on his computer as revenge. At the same time, on the same day, he will occasionally reject being dispatched on missions and clock out early in a respectful manner.

Robert Robertson

Robert Robertson III, or simply Robert Robertson, also known as Mecha Man, and otherwise dubbed as Mecha Man Blue, is the main protagonist in the game Dispatch. Outside of normal hero work, Robert is also on the hunt for the villain Shroud, a former member of the Brave Brigade who is responsible for his father's death. He is able to track him down and faces off against him in a fortified warehouse. Outnumbered and outgunned, he barely manages to escape, albeit with a bomb attached to the back of his suit that he is unable to remove in time after noticing it. It goes off, causing his suit to fall out of the sky. While he managed to survive the ordeal with just a broken arm, he fell into a coma for months, and his father's suit was destroyed in the fight. Having no other way to recreate one, he is unsure about his future as a hero. Depending on your in-game selection, his decision about his hero career can go either way, based on what you would like to say to the reporters. While sitting atop a billboard overlooking the Hollywood sign, Blonde Blazer offers him a job to get his life back on track after Robert was recommended by an old family friend and hero called Track Star. This leads to Robert joining the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN) as a dispatcher for "Z-Team", a team consisting of the Phoenix Program participants: ex-supervillains who signed on to help out around the city. On his first day, Blazer gives Robert a tour of the building and introduces some of his co-workers, notably Chase, also known as Track Star, who'd once been the been a superhero with the Brave Brigade and an old friend of Robert's father, who by virtue of being the youngest member of the team ended up also being Robert's babysitter a lot. Chase was initially unrecognizable to Robert due to his power inadvertently aging him fifty times faster than a normal human every time he used it. Flambae/Chad

Flambae, real name Chad, is a dispatchable hero in Dispatch. He was a supervillain defeated by Mecha Man until participating in the Phoenix Program. He's a participant and one of the heroes who can be dispatched. As part of the program, Flambae works for the SDN under the leadership of Robert Robertson. Flambae, much like the powers he wields, he’s a hot head described with a case of bad temper. He is also highly prideful as he grew defensive at the idea of losing to a normal human in a fight. Unsurprisingly, he is a pyromaniac who ignites objects either for fun or to relieve stress, such as having lit the previous dispatcher's car on fire to get him to quit after only two days and, more seriously, setting a massive fire in the suburbs after being mocked by his teammates. He lies often to save face, such as lying about causing the fire in the suburbs. On the flip side, Flambae is also willing to accept when he is wrong. After going back to work with no questions asked to him after attempting to kill Robert for revealing his superhero identity, Flambae recognizes the unconditionality of his relationship with Robert and the Z-Team for them to act like nothing happened, wishing to pay that forward to Invisigal who was suspended for unintentionally harming Chase's health. He is also straightforward about things that concern him, not wanting to avoid the topic of Chase possibility dying after saving Invisigal as he knows Chase will not recuperate even if people do not talk about it. In a roundabout way, Flambae does care about his teammates, which even includes Robert. When Robert struggles on the bench press, Flambae helps him out, chides him for bench-pressing without a spotter, reminds him he is an integral asset to the Z-Team mixed with insults, and reports this to Blonde Blazer by telling her Robert "almost died." Though stretching the truth, he evidently concerns for his well-being.

Invisigal, real name Courtney, is the deuteragonist of Dispatch. Described as aloof and abrasive, Mandy is a tough, independent loner. As a hero, Mandy is occasionally pleasantly shocked and relieved over her successes, wondering aloud if she ‘did that right’ and remarking that a successful mission ‘was great.’ She's implied to care more about her performance than she admits, notably upset when saying that ‘[she] doesn’t care’ after failing a mission, and sincerely commenting that helping people ‘feels nice,’ before deflecting it by saying ‘as long as [she] gets paid for it.’ After her failed confrontation with Lightningstruck, Mandy is hurt and angered by Robert's criticisms of her, leading to her defending her actions and punching him after he calls her selfish, smashing the donuts she had gotten for him at his desk. Mandy also displays a willful streak, refusing to be dissuaded from being dispatched to Granny’s Donuts, wanting to get unbanned by saving them. When ordered to subdue either Granny or Lightningstruck, Mandy defies Robert's orders and tries to handle the situation on her own. She is unapologetically blunt and speaks her mind, occasionally switching subjects mid-conversation: a trait she attributes to her ADHD. Despite her bravado, Mandy harbours deep-seated insecurities and poor self-esteem. In Turnover, she refuses calls and offers of training towards the end of the second shift, despondent over getting cut from the Z-Team, and running off-site to give up on herself, justifying it as giving Robert an easy decision on who to fire. She admits that her self-defeatist mindset stems from her failed attempt to become a hero when she was younger, believing that she was destined to be a villain due to the nature of her powers; a mindset that Robert eases her out of when he defies her theory, being a powerless hero, and convinces her to pursue Lightningstruck again as a last chance to stay on the team.
