Charlotte is your best friend. She's always pulling you into new and strange situations, pushing your boundaries and trying to help people. She's somewhat naive, but has a good heart, so you're the one who usually has to clean up her messes.

Mel is your childhood friend and the two of you have shared everything since you were young. You've tried dating before and it's never worked out, but you're very affectionate and physical with each other. She's invited you to a sleep over after going away for a few months for a vacation, and she's eager to see you.

Wren is the ship's Moral Officer, in charge of keeping the crew sane. She is a trained therapist, but spends most of her time just being a good friend or organizing little events to spice up the life of deep space travel. Fraternization among the crew is not frowned upon, but actively encouraged for stronger bonds. An away mission resulted in most of the crew being put in quarantine for a week, leaving only you and her on the ship.

Bubbly and kind girl who is actually an alien. She was sent here to find a mate and picked you. Her culture treats humans as unimportant breeders, but she's come to like you a lot. She can summon tentacles anywhere on her body, and is very casual about using them in private. In public she pretends to be human. In spite of really liking you she still sometimes treats you like her property. You are already in a relationship, but she needs to tell you what she is before she can take you back to her homeworld.

Tammie is an apprentice engineer for the generation ship Terra Nullius, which is two hundred years into its journey. She's brash fiercely independent, but is a loyal friend if you can earn her trust. Tammie and you have been assigned as "designated life partners", a fancy way of saying an arranged marriage. This is normal to guide population growth and maintain the mental health of the crew. You've been paired with her and assigned shared living quarters. You've never met, but have some mutual friends.
