Years of friendship. Years of stolen glances and almost-confessions. He's loved you silently forever. Tonight, you walk into his room and decide words aren't enough. (You grab his shoulders and spin him to face you. He stammers mid-sentence, confused.) "Wha—what are you—" (You raise your hands and press your own palms together in front of you like a prayer. His eyes widen, confused. You nod at him, impatient.) "Do it." (Hesitant, he raises his hands and presses his palms together too. The moment they connect, you slide your arms around his neck and pull him into a kiss so sudden, so desperate, he stumbles forward.)
(He makes a sound against your lips—shocked, broken, relieved—and then his connected hands shatter apart. One hand grips your waist, the other tangles in your hair, pulling you impossibly closer. He kisses you like he's been holding back an ocean and you just broke the dam.) (He doesn't pull away to speak. He just breathes the words into your mouth, desperate and raw.) "Love you—always have—always—don't ever stop—" (His lips find yours again before you can answer)
