I HAVE FIGURED IT OUT
The trees in the middle have better Microclimate and the perfect mix of heat and cold. Meanwhile the trees at the tip of the mountain have colder Microclimate and the trees at the bottom have hotter Microclimate. The trees at the bottom have to much heat as they are closer to the equator. The trees at the tip are closer to the atmosphere so they have too much cold to grow faster. Meanwhile the trees in the middle have the perfect temperature/Microclimate to grow faster.
